French Beginnings

CELTIC INDIGENOUS
As we have learned, one of three tribes mostly occupying what we now call France. Etymologically, “Gaul” is in the plural form of the latin word we see. Both “Gaelic” and “Gallic” have to do with the Celtic tribes that occupied the region. This was land that Rome very much wished to occupy themselves. The use of this word likely is indicative of a Roman pejorative word, most likely an insulting term used when any of the three Celtic tribes that already occupied the land were brought up in conversation or written about. According to the Roman writings, the Celt was a dirty, poor, untamed “savage”.

Remember, words have power. Each time a group of humans, or Indigenous, were having their Beings or ways of life verbally attacked, it was a type of destructive, or subtractive, Magick. It was weakening and demeaning to their cultures, and even more so to their Spirits. This occurred regardless of ones Consciousness, or Awareness, that it was happening.

You do not have to be “awake” to get hurt. Not in Spirit. Not in Matter. Remember that.

In their own play book, the Bible, Christians recognized the land as IN FACT already being occupied. Celtic people dwelled in Galatia, a region of central Anatolia surrounding present-day Ankara, during the Hellenistic period. Theirs was a large empire that was in existence before the Roman.

In the Book of the Pah, an “epistle” – or a fancy way to say “letter”, the epistle was shared from Paul to those who the Romans wished to convert to their Catholic-Senate ways. Gaelic, or Galatian, simply meant “outlander” to them. This was insulting to the Celtic as the land was their home.

We can read Galatians (Book of Acts) to this day in the Bible if the desire to conjure up the images that were trying to be conveyed by the conquerors call. It basically talks about the “in fighting” between the pre-Christ Jewish of the Torah and Christians debating who can be “blessed”. Jewish said only by “obedience” to the Laws of Moses. Christians differed. Celts wanted no part.

Both colonizers condemned those they conquered and cursed them if they did not accept this new “faith” amongst their colonizers. Those Christian Conquerors believed they were simply saved by their faith, actions could be forgiven, or had already been forgiven, by their messiah.

They killed most who did not convert.

Gaul (Latin Gallia, French Gaule) was the name given by the Romans to the territories anywhere the Celtic tribes (Latin Galli, French Gaulois) lived, including present France, Belgium, Luxemburg and parts of the Netherlands, Switzerland, and Germany on the west bank of the Rhine, and in the Po Valley in present Italy. The tribes we know of were Celtica, Belgica, and Aquitania, not “gaelic”.  Today, in Greece, France is still acknowledged as Γαλλία (Gallia). “Gaul” in Roman, or Latin as that is the “official” Roman Catholic language, a historically derogatory term still used today.

Celtica, the largest and best attested group, were the first to settle the land as far as archaeology currently tells. (Time will reveal more.) The Celtic people who occupied the area began to see an influx of foreign forces over the course of the 1st millennium BC. These forces included the Greeks, Romans, and Carthaginians who invaded and established colonies on the Mediterranean coast and the offshore islands with the help of the Teutonic tribes.

Bretons, who are currently understood as one of the other tribes of Celts, lived in north-west France and had become occupied as well. The present administrative region of Brittany contains only four of the five (six) historic provinces found in antiquity.

There is a great amount of unshared Knowledge from our ancient cousins. As we are walking through Europe, it is of note that you read the linked article below. There will be a question on the Knowledge Check in regards to this subject matter.

For many indigenous who view this painting, we understand that what we see is what many now call “Orion”, or “Orion’s Belt” across the Great Sky Buffalo —or Bison, for some tribes. These constellations existed long before most dogma. Look at what the Aboriginal see in the sky. Look at the indigenous Americas.

The Shift

The modern French are the descendants of mixtures including Romans, Celts, Iberians, Ligurians and Greeks in southern France, Germanic peoples arriving at the end of the Roman Empire such as the Franks and the Burgundians, and some Vikings who mixed with the Normans and settled mostly in Normandy in the 9th century. After this time, magickal conglomerates began to form as practices and ideas came together.

Historically, we are very well aware of the state of the world prior to 0 AD… well up to 1100 AD. We know there were endless plagues and disease among the human species. We know there was famine throughout the land. Although the stories have been skewed, we will attempt to share what knowledge we can.

It is at this point, around 1100 AD that the “Knights Templar”, who had the Teutonic Clans in their number, were pushing through this part of Europe carrying the pressures of the Church … and disease. The mission was to clear an obscured path for the Senate-Church’s self serving agenda to conquer and convert all humans. The Knights Templar were a physically and financially strong group who had plundered a great deal of riches for the Church. They were the financiers of many elites and royalty. This was until around 1300 AD when France, King Philip, decided to ally with the Mongols against the Muslim nations in the Middle East. This thereby changed the focus for many as well as the disbursement of wealth of the area. (Yes, Mohammed’s followers were compelled just as the others to conquer and colonize. We ALL had fights on our hands.)

Money began to be shifted between entities. Entities fell as others rose. The Templar were no longer as “rich” as they once had been promised they would be and their force began to shift in France. The Gaullic. The Celtic. The money in France began to be provided by the financiers at Franzesi Bankers in Florentine and the Templar were paid off.

This did not stop Indigenous and tribal persecution across Europe.

In April 1305, the new Mongol ruler Öljaitü sent letters to Philip, the Pope, and Edward I of England. He again offered a military collaboration between the Christian nations of Europe and the Mongols against the Mamluks, or “Muslim’, a common enemy of their respective dogmas. They were practicing the old adage, “the enemy of my enemy is my friend.”

European nations attempted another Crusade but were delayed, and it never took place. (The Mongols noted them as a “no show”.) On 4th of April in 1312, another Crusade was promulgated at the Council of Vienne. In 1312 the Templars were considered dissolved. King Philip (France) and King Edward II (England) confiscated most of the Templars wealth and the rise of the Hospitaliers began. And so began the rule of the throne.

In 1313, Philip "took the cross", making the vow to go on a Crusade in the Levant, thus responding to Pope Clement V's call. He was, however, warned against leaving by Enguerrand de Marigny and died soon after in a hunting accident.

The Black Death was soon to peak in Europe.

Philip’s mongol counterpart, Öljaitü (Mongolian: ᠦᠯᠵᠡᠢᠲᠦ ᠺᠬᠠᠨ, romanized: Öljeitü Ilkhan) was also known as Muhammad Khodabandeh (Persian: محمد خدابنده‎, khodābandeh) from Persian meaning the "slave of God" or "servant of God". He lived from around 1280 – December 16, 1316. Öljaitü was the eighth Ilkhanid dynasty ruler from 1304 to 1316 in Tabriz, Iran. His name "Ölziit" also means "blessed" in the Mongolian language, a much nicer meaning, but not accepted by the colonizing Church. 

He was the son of the Ilkhan ruler Arghun, brother and successor of Mahmud Ghazan (5th successor of Genghis Khan), and great-grandson of the Ilkhanate founder Hulagu.  

Not so “blessed”, a favorite warfare technique used by many Mongols at this time was to toss infected bodies into enemy territory. This is how nasty the struggles had become between those who craved power and land possession.

Read that again.

The back and forth, power struggles and land grabs continued for hundreds of years globally. It was the newest commodity of the human Ego. It was a feeble attempt at controlling Spirit by possessing Matter… land. As futures developed, we learned that land possession was not equal to power, no matter who possessed the land. Spirit did not die and this was a lesson hard learned throughout the decline of the Roman Empire at the hands of the Black Death.

The “Dark Ages” were now upon us.

Templar Endings

Because of the many wars, with England, the Middle East, Flanders, etc, Philip had inherited debt from his father’s wars and accrued his own with the monastic military – Templar financiers. He wanted OUT of this debt with them.

He began a smear campaign against the Templar, calling them “devil worshipers” and began to increase taxation across the land. He even began to tax the church which caused the Catholic Church to raise up.

Templar heresy was born.

The Templar went into decline after Muslims re-conquered the Holy Land at the end of the 13th century and were accused of heresy by King Philip IV of France, their foremost persecutor. The Templar alleged offenses included denying Christ and secretly worshiping other Deities, or being pagan.  (Well, many were Norse.) The Teutonic tribes fell back into the societies they knew and the Celtic that remained were pushed back even further on many fronts, ending in Ireland.

You now know the global conquest that occurred and what happened to the indigenous of lands around the world for hundreds of years to come.

The Celtic Hold Outs

The “final front” in this line  of assault is the Celtic hold at southern Ireland. We poo poo the idea of the IRA, but, we do not fully understand the why and how it came to be. Many of us are outsiders looking in with colonized minds as our Blood Kin still fight.

There has always been an undercurrent in this world. That undercurrent contains both Matter and Spirit. Sadly, Matter took on the visage, a mask or false face, of Spirit and attempted to conquer in the name of the “church” or Spirit.

This was and is dishonest. If those who had worshiped Matter had only lived in Truth about it, many feel things would be different. Matter has always been to serve Matter, good – bad – indifferent. pirit is Love, Unconditional at that . Matter is here for Spirit to Experience its manifestation of Life, and that can be done WITHOUT harming others already here Experiencing it in their own personal ways.

If you follow the Roman Catholic Senate throughout the ages, you will see the stronghold stopping iat the Emerald Isle. Yes, many claim “peace” in the land but we support those who still serve time in prison for “crimes against the church”. Yes, they killed others. They bombed cars. They fought for what they believe in and wanted the church, especially THAT church and its corruption to leave.

They still do.

Let us step back in time again. Let us step back to the 15th and 16th centuries. We have to go inside the lies to understand the lies.

The Indigenous around the world are watching this unfold before them. Their spirits can see the Ego driven greed of Matter at work. (Even continuing in the Middie East.)

The Spirit of the Indigenous of all lands, Anima Mundi, still go into Dreamtime to have this Experience of material… Matter. It is still an integral part and the Balance of the cosmos. (The Indigenous Amazon Tribes are taking the fight to the legal system, onto Matter’s turf, to fight for Spirit.)

This is but a blip.

WHEN WILL THE ROMAN SENATE FALL?
Around the 15th century, those inside the Roman Catholic Senate Church began to voice their knowledge of the corruption. (Sounds familiar doesn’t it?)

The Practitioners of the Path spoke of others receiving offerings to “buy” their way out of “sin”. This did not sit well with the men accredited with the uprising and change.

PROTESTANT REFORMATION
The Protestant Reformation is a well documented and often biased presentation of what was a series of events that happened on this Path as we began to go into the 16th century. These events occurred in what became the Christian Church and Her many branches. Because of corruption in the (Roman Senate) Catholic Church, some people saw that the Path they practiced needed to change. This occurred many times throughout the Church’s history.

MAJOR PLAYERS OF REFORMATION
These were the major players in the reformation of that Path:
Erasmus, or Erasmus of Rotterdam, was a Dutch philosopher and Catholic theologian who is considered one of the greatest scholars of the northern Renaissance. This Catholic priest often lived against the backdrop of the growing European religious Reformation. He remained a member of the Catholic Church all of his life, committed to reforming the Catholic Church and its clerics' abuses from within.

(Two of the latest Popes have even spoken out in the last 50 years about how wrong decisions have been made.)

Huldrych Zwingli, a Swiss man influenced by the writings of Erasmus, became “the people’s priest” as he learned in opposition of the mercenary attitude of most Swiss at the time with his study of humanism. He began to openly publish articles about the ecclesiastical atrocities and wrongdoings. He was one of the first Catholic Priests to go against sermon, kept in the “old testament”, to begin speaking from the book of Matthew in the New Testament. Overall, he had a more “humanistic” approach to morality.

Martin Luther was a German professor of theology, priest, author, composer, former Augustinian monk, and is best known as a seminal figure in the Protestant Reformation and as the namesake of Lutheranism. Luther was ordained to the priesthood in 1507. Martin wrote over 90 different thesis challenging the practices of the Catholic Church. None changed the entity we know as the Roman (Senate) Catholic Church.

Lastly, we have John Calvin. Born in France, John was a French theologian, pastor and reformer in Geneva during the Protestant Reformation. He was a principal figure in the development of Calvinist (Christian) Tradition or movement. A learned man, attending every school he could, his most notable ideas were strongly influenced by Jewish sects. None the less, Calvin saw the corruption and tried to stop it.

This grouping of men eventually led to a split in the church, into Catholics and various Protestant churches. The Protestant reformation triggered the Catholic Counter-Reformation.

And it goes on to this day. The “church” itself argues back and forth, with Ego at the helm and Matter in hand, on who is more “righteous” in their worship than the other. All the while, they are leaving their Practitioners in a Spiritually empty and eternal state of spiritual starvation.

Some feel this is why we have “Christian Witches” now. The dogmatic aspect has leaned with Matter in the greed of the Church and left the Spirit thirsty. Pagans NEVER left Spirit. EVER. And the planet is beginning to feel that.
