Beginning Practicum
Involution Contemplations

After our night of New Year celebration and the turning of light to darker times, and as we move towards Winter, we begin to go inside our Self. We begin to look at where we have been this year passed and where we are going in the New Year. A new year that will spring upon us at the Winter Solstice when the light begins anew.

Between now and then, we Practitioners review our Magick, Medicine, our purpose, our Path, our Life and all that that entails. We examine everything around us. For the more adept at this involutionary time, it is a matter of listening to Spirit in meditation.

Our Higher Self, or Spirit, will show us where we need to Focus more. Are we listening? Are we hearing what our Divine Self is saying? Are we standing in our own way?

We are shown something we need to examine more quite regularly as we make room for growth and Change. Everything we are shown is not always something we, Unhealthy Ego, or Unhealed Shadow want to work on. Nor is everything we are shown “for us” necessarily. Maybe there is a neglected part of ourselves or Shadow that needs addressing that involves another person. No matter what we are shown, we – if wise --- will look at it closely and grow.

As far as Magick, we take a closer look at what worked for us and what did not. We look at what Medicine we accessed in our Self and that which was presented by Plant, Animal, and Stone Allies. We look at the “why” something did or did not work.

Was there enough time? Did we listen to and act upon what we were Divinely asked to do for our highest benefit? Why, or why not? What needed to take place to clear obstacles for that those energies to manifest? Did that we Work to make that happen?

We are all Wise to examine all of our Works every year, lunar - solar - or what speaks to you, to improve and strengthen them.

This is what we ask you to do at this time between Equinox and Solstice..

Beginning Practicum
Element Fire

Specifically, let us look at Fire Magick for this portion. Not merely “lighting a candle”, but asking how we utilize the energy of Fire.

Do you know where the Element Fire provides for you in your life daily? Have you examined it this year? Made adjustments? Ask your Self, from the moment you wake “what is Element Fire doing in my life?” How does it manifest itself for me?

We do this too to learn to show Gratitude for each Element. All of them support our existence, whether we see it and acknowledge it, or not. When we DO see it, all the more powerful we become with it. Therefore, it is sometimes essential for our practices to realize how we align with an Element. How it is viewed in our life. Today, it is Fire.

Ask yourself some simple, fundamental, questions.

Do you use “hot water”? What is my electricity fueled by? How was the metal I drive (transportation) forged? My dishes? How was the plastic molded in the phone/tablet/PC I use for this Lesson?

Look around and try to see how much Fire has touched our life in its many manifestations. Take time with this. We may not find all of the ways today, but we will begin to see them and see them EVERY WHERE, not just “at home”.

Begin to acknowledge and show Gratitude to all who have touched Fire to bring it to you in its “final form”. Words have power, even those “thought” or whispered to the Universe.
