Cartomancy - Tarot
Four - IV - 4

Minor Arcana

In the road so far, we have had Lessons on the following tarot:

Moon Day WM3: Beginning Arcana;
Aces; The Magician; The Wheel of Fortune; The Sun

Moon Day WM4: Twos; High Priestess; Justice; Judgement

Tuesday WM4: Three; The Empress; The Hanged Man; The World

It is strongly advised that some times is spent studying and learning them as we will continue to build on these concepts through Yona Circle by teaching Streams of Consciousness with their guidance. Again, we utilize the Rider Waite Smith system of tarot as NO ONE has yet to create another set of tarot that teaches fuller understandings of Esoteric Magick than these individuals. It took us thousands of years to reach this Knowledge and has taken us hundreds of years to allow it to resurface.

We are slowly rising to the vibration we were collectively resonating with thousands of years ago.

We STILL do not wholly share this Knowledge due to the chosen inability of the individual Practitioners willingness to learn these deeper concepts. It is work and it requires complete dedication of Self and Spirit to achieve complete understandings. Add to that, a great command of personal time and balance in one’s life in Matter to further that learning Experience. We liken it to the dedication required to become a Doctor who Practices a specialized Medicine or a Practitioner of a chosen Martial Art form reaching a Black Belt.

How much dedication do YOU have to this esoteric endeavor you have begun to walk?‍ ‍Do you feel changes? Are you having Experiences in Matter since you have begun to walk this Circle with your Pack Mates?

Minor Arcana

Four of Pentacles

(Coins, Disks)
When this card appears, it is sometimes saying that ‘law and order’ are maintained by personal vigilance to uphold it. It warns us that Materialism can be a fortress or a prison, take a look around. Where is your value and where do you want it? This person will put up a fight over material wealth/gain. They are often isolated from their Community because of their materialistic approach to life.

Yes, or No: The Four of Pentacles (upright) leans toward being a yes, so long as a yes involves keeping in this card's spirit of proceeding conservatively and with frugality in mind. This card is about stability, not risk taking, so take that message to heart.

SYMBOLOGY
Disk - Materialism may be blocking Throat or Heart energy points from continued evolution.

Red Robes - “Life”

Always consider if this type of person may be entering your life as well.

SPIRITUALITY
In a spiritual context, the Four of Pentacles indicates that WE may be holding onto the past and resisting going forward on our spiritual path. Fear, regret or negativity may be holding this Practitioner back and they may be closing their heart off to others or focusing too much on materialism. They may need to take time out to figure out what they are holding onto and why. Try meditating or energy work to help this process along.

Four of Cups

(Chalice, Hearts)
Obstacles are arising from others, outside interferences are occurring when this card displays. What other cards surround it?

The Four of Cups can also tell us that this person is nurtured and appreciated. They are empathetic to others needs. Divine is telling us that we have the support that we need. “Look up”, help is right here.

Yes – No: Possible “yes”. The Four of Cups suggests a hesitant response. This card indicates that you may be indecisive and unsure about the situation and surroundings at hand. It is important to carefully evaluate your options and consider all perspectives before making a decision.

SYMBOLOGY
Tree
– Council, sought or given; again, Divine says you are supported.

SPIRITUALITY
This card can indicate that we have been feeling disillusioned or are wishing our life away wondering what if. We need to let go of the regrets from our past and focus on the good things that are happening all around. A great way to do this is to think of one or two things that we are grateful for in each day, it will help to focus on the present and on the positive. Meditation and Reiki would be helpful to bring us back into balance and help to release the negative energy we have been carrying as well.

Four of Swords

Hanson Roberts © 1984
Reverend Richoz’s first deck of tarot cards
was received when she was 10 years old.

(Scepters, Spades)
This is a card of success; success in a business endeavor; against an enemy. The Four of Swords also tells us to NOT allow dogma or the opinions of others freeze us; or for us to become “too rigid”. Compromise comes in many forms. Solutions can be found through creativity, harmony, proportion, and the process of manifestation.

There are yet many steps to achieve, many are simply not seen. It is the “culmination”.

SYMBOLOGY
One (gold) sword is hung differently which indicates “important” influences that others have, be mindfully aware or conscious of the influences because thoughts can be altered by the perceptions and opinions of others too.

Red book - Not found in all decks. “I will choose to rest, but my work is here”; not completely giving in. Journey into this card. Meditate to find content of book.Rest is only short as there are important matters at hand.

This card is indicative of the Material Universe. Focus: keep defeat in purview if plan is not solid or well researched.

SPIRITUALITY
The querant may be in need of solitude or sanctuary. We need to slow down and listen to our inner wisdom. Meditation would be good at this time. We may receive spiritual counseling and support at this time. If we have been going through a tough time, this card tells us to have faith as we will come through this

Four of Wands

(Rod, Staves, Clubs)
Nothing can be accomplished without barriers. See the barriers before the victory; plan. Barriers do not stop this person. Goodness in success. Beauty at a greater level; higher endeavors. Complete project celebration.

Yes – No: YES card.
Example: “Should I move to the country?”

SYMBOLOGY
Lily - One, Self, hearkens back to the Magician (not on every rendering of this card.)

White manor - Manifestation

This card also says “respect other’s processes.” Have Compassion. Change is constant; new projects will come. Always consider Entropy (Lack of order does not cause stopping)

SPIRITUALITY
This card can represent ceremonies and community so we may have rituals and events to attend within our religious or spiritual community. If we are invited to take part in events or workshops it is good omen indicating that we will be made to feel welcome and will find acceptance and support at those events.

IN SUMMATION
Pentacles -
financial, general physicality of life.

Cups - Relationships, Knowledge.

Swords - legal, mental, important influences.

Wands - Know how to utilize business mostly in a beneficial way.

Major Arcana
IV The Emperor

Ruled by Mars, the person that is represented by this card in locked in a state of intellect. It is pure execution or manifestation that is realized when this card arises. Other, or surrounding cards are to be studied.

This person seeks to remain “complete”, although they may not be supported by others in their endeavors, but they may not need the approval of others to move forward. Mundane and physical world. Physical relationships, or high intellect CAN block pure consciousness due to need for “imperical evidence” on spiritual matters. Not all knowledge lies “between the ears”. There is also Knowledge of the Spirit and of the Heart.

Heady, “intellectual throne” is seen. Pay attention to the possibility of strange experiences in life. *** (The Spirit will touch you continually to try and balance you.)

A person of this caliber may need others to help then mature spiritually. Even a teacher continually learns.

SYMBOLOGY
Rams on throne - Courage, Staunch, Must be trained to socialize as it does not come naturally.

We are reminded also, “Wars can be won through thought.”

Beard - Accomplishment, established person.

Soft vestments/clothing - Clothing covers armor underneath; Shielding self; Protecting self; Pay attention to other cards around

Spirituality
The Emperor Tarot in a spirituality context can indicate that we are neglecting the spiritual part of ourself for the more physical/material side. Make time for spiritual pursuits and try not to let the logical rational part of the mind take over and stop our exploring our sensitive side. If we are currently engaged in spiritual pursuits, The Emperor can be a sign that we need to ground and protect ourself.

XIII Death

In this system of tarot cards, Death, 13 – XIII, reduces to the lowest number of 4 in numerology. In numerology, 4 indicates one that has solid reliability, dedication to a higher cause, and disciplined authority. The number 4 is a sign of strength and efficiency as a “number 4 person” has a focused and committed approach toward life and work. Numerology 4 signifies grit in the face of adversity.

This is a part of the cards in the ordinance of 1 through 4, a blueprint for interpretations of life to some. Persons who are “awake” in their Stream of Consciousness understand that we all have eternal life. We all have exaltation above the perceived solid form of Matter. The entire “creation story” of Spirit into Matter can be told with this ONE CARD.

When the card of Death is drawn, it is typically indicative of impending Change, a Universal Constant for those in Matter.

The number 4 is also found to represent the Elements, Directions, and many other aspects of many human Paths.

SYMBOLOGY
Bishop
Body language is often perceived as a poignant conversation is being had with Death, or Change. Change is not always well received amongst the human species.

King/Male - Evolution is occurring. In Spirit, this person may not be aware that they have become “unconscious” or may not be “awake” to their Consciousness. This is also indicated by the fallen crown.

Queen/Female - Being overcome by Change of Matter into Spirit. May not understand what is happening relative to her chosen station in life due to not being “awake”, or by choosing to ignore the obvious occurrence for ALL things of Matter.

Child – Children have an ability to see things many of our species cannot. They are often more prepared for what is occurring in Matter than others. They are Prepared for what is to come. They have an innate understanding. They are encouraging. The child of Consciousness kneels to process Change to RENEWAL, they are physically acknowledging their understanding even when they cannot verbally convey what is happening. The “feelings” associated with Change, or Death, are real feelings for all sentient beings, all species.

There is buried cosmic mystery in this card.

Horse – This represents human prominence, or physical power. All knights of minor arcana ride white horses.

Gate with Sun – Divine womb of the Mother.  Our entry to this physical plane of Matter. Many Paths lie beyond the gate.

Red feather - Death, Fool, Knights all have this item. This indicates this person commands the full power of life when Death, or Change, are embraced. It is also indicative of the presence of the Goddess of Truth, or Veritas, daughter of Saturn, who is also associated with “death” or “change”.

The red feather is also indicative of:
Justice

Order

New beginnings

Rebirth

Physical completeness to Spirit, Conscious Incarnate
A person who Transcends Matter, or the physical realm
Loving care

Mystic Rose – is also of relation in Geomancy, in that there are many layers to what is “seen” or perceived. It is multifaceted. Look at the surrounding cards when this one is revealed.

Towers (flanking gate, road opening) – Found on other cards as well (Moon) tells you how to uncover illusion, usually with surrounding cards.

Skeleton - Foundational structure literally and figuratively.  It also reminds us that our Ancestors can help one cross, find, Change, whether in Spirit or in Matter.

Spirituality
Physical death is a form of transformation when our spirits leave the physical body behind and transform back to the spiritual beings we all are intrinsically. The Death card represents spiritual transformation. In a spiritual Tarot reading, it indicates a time where we can deeply connect to our Higher Self and discover a depth of spirituality that we may not have even known we possessed. This spiritual transformation may be brought about by grief or loss or heartbreak that we have Experienced. It can represent a difficult transition from an old situation to a new beginning. Try to embrace the change even if it is difficult, it’s leading each of us to our higher path
