Contemplations 103
Remote Viewing

As we have been exploring, “remote viewing (RV) is the practice of seeking impressions about a distant or unseen subject, purportedly sensing with the mind. Typically a remote viewer is expected to give information about an object, event, person or location that is hidden from their physical view and separated at some distance.”

About 20 years ago, this natural phenomenon tapered off. It returned in recent practice with new Viewers, and it has revitalized WITHOUT military interference this time around. It has even been explored here at Three Circles Medicine & Magick with some great success.

Take a moment to read this excerpt of an instruction sheet from a “remote viewing” parlor game that was once popular in the United States. Then read the individual’s take on the game. What do you think?

“Each kit contains 180 targets (small photos in black envelopes) a pen, a 3-minute hourglass timer, and several stacks of data worksheet templates.

You select an envelope, set the timer, and then you have 3 minutes to fill out the worksheet template. You make an ideogram (called a 3-second scribble) and then fill in the textures, colors, smells, tastes, temperatures, sounds, dimensions, and feelings. This is very similar to what many structured forms of remote viewing are. There is an instruction booklet that gives clearer examples of each category of sensory data. At the bottom of the worksheet there is a small box where you can sketch sort of a beginners version.”

“I worked 10 targets before I forced myself to stop and get back to work. I had a hard time putting it away. There is the fun of opening the envelope and getting immediate feedback, and you can't shake the urge to try "just one more.

RV purists will shake their heads and mutter ‘this trivializes the science of remote viewing’. But this game demystifies RV and makes it accessible to the masses.

Does it turn you into a professional remote viewer? Not a chance. Does it allow anyone to obtain intelligence grade data? No, of course not. It will never replace formal, dedicated RV training. The makers would never claim that.

Is it remote viewing? Yes, it is. It allows anyone to sit down and demonstrate non-local awareness, to open the door to communication with their subconscious. As a trained remote viewer I had a few small criticisms of the game.

You make an "ideogram" aka 3-second scribble, but you aren't told why, and you don't do anything with it. In my RV training each bit of data is obtained by a precise physical/mental cue which prompts the sub to provide data. I had a difficult time just grabbing for data in an unstructured manner. So I adapted the game to conform to my own methodology. (I probed the ideogram for sensory data.) But there I go being an RV snob, and this is designed for people with no formal RV training.”

We look at this passage reviewing this game and the first thing many Practitioners think is “gatekeeping”. Yes, there are ‘professionals’ only because someone else wants to pay certain individuals money for something we can all train to do. As said before, RV skills can be like any of the Arts, you either have it or you don’t. If you don’t – you either REALLY do not due to blockages or you have blocked the naturally occurring frequencies with Ego. This skill can be honed. What do you think? Feel?

SUBMISSION: YM2 THU REMOTE VIEWING THOUGHTS (Due by Sunday)

Please write THREE PARAGRAPHS or more about what comes to mind
after reading the passage above. Feelings. Thoughts. Etc. Do you think having played
a “game” such as this would have fine tuned our explorations? Why or why not?
