Mars Attunement

While we have some time before this occurs, preparation is Key. You have plenty of time to think and gather the Magick or Medicine to be accomplished with this orbit. The next time Earth and Mars will be “close”, closer than standard orbits, is February of 2027. Should you need that energy, its coming!

No matter what side of the planet can “see” this celestial body, we have complete access to the National BHS Crystal Web, and All Path Crystal Web if you so desire. This gives us access to Mar’s power from Earth’s perspective. Remember the Key you made? It may, or may not, be sitting on your Psychic Altar? You will be utilizing this Key to access your Point and perform a Rite of Attunement during that time for any Works you have established before His return. This reinforces the strength of your Medicine or Magick for the duration of another Mars rotation around the sun. This eliptic happens with Earth’s and they have a meeting about every two years. Once you Attune to the planet, any time it is in the sky, it can easily be felt. Once you access it, you can always access it.

What purpose would this serve my energy, you ask?

This Attunement is there for all people. Anyone, not just BHS members, can tune in their Self to Mars (or any celestial body) and boost their energy with additional energy if needed. Remember what the atmosphere sounds like for Mars? Remember the Lesson? Hold in your Minds Eye that sound as a symbol of the strength of the energy. It is subtle, muffled, but STRONG. By now, you have been working with Earth on a regular basis. You have also been working with the Moon. Now, we will add Mars. Having created this Access Point and a Key, our energy can ALWAYS utilize the Mars ‘boost’ for our Workings.

CORRESPONDENCES
Known as Mars the Warrior and Mars the Creative Artist, it has embodied War, Anger, Wrath, Violence, Destruction, Passion, Motivation, Honor, and Courage. It also embodies magick that we have assigned to it individually —as a people. Even if the planet has other attributes, these are the primary ones that Earth bound magi have projected onto Mars throughout our history. Right behind that are the powers that YOU, the Practitioner, have assigned to the celestial body.

Advanced Practicum
Magick Squares

By definition, a ‘magick square’ is a square divided into smaller squares each containing a number, such that the figures in each vertical, horizontal, and diagonal row add up to the same value. (Kind of like sudoku, except, these – as far as we know, are Hebrew born, pre-Christian era.) What you are about to read is very cabalistic in practice, where each Hebrew letter has a numeric value. As we have learned, this is called gematria. Gematria (/ɡəˈmeɪtriə/; Hebrew: גמטריא or gimatria גימטריה, plural גמטראות or גימטריאות, gimatriot) is the practice of assigning a numerical value to a name, word or phrase according to an alphanumerical cipher. A single word can yield several values depending on the cipher which is used. Refresh your exploration of this phenomenon introduced in Knowledge Seeking Magick if the need arises.

Associated Numbers
The numbers associated with Mars are 5, 25, 65, and 325. This is because:

Each row and column of the magic square for Mars contains five numbers.
The square contains 25 numbers total, ranging from 1 to 25.
Each row, column and diagonal adds up to 65.
All of the numbers in the square add up to 325.

Divine Names
The divine names associated with Mars all have numerological values of 5 or 65. The names of the intelligence of Mars (Matter) and the spirit of Mars (Spirit) have a value of 325. These values are calculated by writing out the names in Hebrew and then adding up the value of each included letter, as each Hebrew letter can represent both a sound and a numerical value. You do not have to do this, but this is how it is done for those on that Path. Most of the planets in our Solar System already have squares from thousands of years ago that we use in magick to this day.

Construction of The Square
The square is constructed by arranging the numbers consecutively in a pre-arranged pattern. In general, numbering moves down and to the right. Hence, 2 is down and to the right of 1. When the down and right motion would take you off the edge of the square, it wraps around. (Remember our ‘flatlander ant’ and folding the paper to appear continuous in space? Same concept. If you do not recall this, PLEASE watch the video again.) Thus, since 2 is on the bottom edge, 3 is still to the right of 2, but it's at the top of the square instead of the bottom.

When this pattern runs up against numbers already placed in squares, the pattern shifts two rows down. Thus, 4 is on the left, 5 is one down and one to the right of 4, and if that motion were to be repeated, it would collide with the already placed 1. Instead, 6 appears two rows down from 5, and the pattern continues.

Construction of The Seal
The seal of Mars is constructed by drawing lines that intersect every number within the magick square.
