Dark Human Energies
As we draw to the close of our Month of the Goddess, we have a lingering question of “what is dark feminine energy”.
The “dark” human energy is actually a source of deep connection with one’s “darker” side. It is considered “dark” because it is natural and we have grave difficulty accepting, controlling, enbracing it fully.
It is human.
It is simply that part of you that is frowned upon by your Caregivers, your Society, and even your World. They are very important pieces of Self that we cast aside because they’re “mean”, or “rude”, or “sensitive”, or “artistic”, or “loving”… or whatever it is that we are told to NOT Do or Be. This is a direct result, or consequence, of one group not caring how another group feels, or, this is a set of Caregivers not caring how this action or word may effect that child. There are many reasons we develop negatively here as we are not taught how to handle our Shadow side.
So, what is it? What have you been told that you “cannot be” in your emotions, mind or physicality? What have you pushed aside in regards to Self that you would benefit reevaluating?
Listed below find the list of “dark” traits. Recall, throughout our human history, some of us were made to be demure and quiet by the threat of violence or fearmongering from others. This threat often included spouses and family members. This sad truth is that this happens to many humans, male, female and child alike, for one reason or another.
However, these traits listed below are NECESSARY survival traits that are often forced out of use incorrectly, or not nurtured and cultivated at all to our Highest Benefit.
DARK TRAITS
Assertive
Authentic
Confident
Fearless
Fierce
Magnetic
Mysterious
Persuasive
Powerful
Protective
Seductive
While this is not a complete list, it is a start to understanding the “dark” side. Although, it is NOT dark. It just could not be accepted at whatever time whichever emotion became “unfashionable” amongst us. Looking at this short list of a few traits, we can easily see how someone could have felt threatened by these characteristics. Abused because of the trait, one could become self loathing, manipulative, passive=aggressive, or another “negative” trait developed to protect Self or as a coping mechanism.
Are you still holding out on yourself? Do you continue to suppress parts of Self because it displeases another? If these arise in you naturally, you are only harming yourself, or your children, by suppressing them. Explore them. Talk about them. Find constructive and beneficial ways to express them as their presence is one that we ALL have to varying degrees!
