Divining Boudicca - Celtic Warrior Queen
A Celtic Folk Hero
We have learned that Boudicca is one of the most famous British Celts in Celtic history. Queen of the Iceni Tribe, who lived in what is now Suffolk, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire, Boudicca was the wife of Prasutagus, ruler of the Iceni at the time of the Roman invasion of AD 43. Rather than be captured, she led an uprising against the conquering forces of the Roman Empire around 60 AD. According to Roman sources, shortly after the uprising failed, she is considered to have poisoned herself or died of her wounds, although there is no actual evidence of either fate.
For today’s Magick & Medicine, we are going to take a moment and place our energies in the past, with hers. Sit with it. Think on it. Feel it. We may hear, see, or smell things that are energetic that exist both in and out of Time and Space. There may be images placed into the Mind’s eye.
Take your time. If you are able, send some Focus to the energy for World Healing for our Divine Feminine. (If you have not already participated in our World Healing Rite.
When you feel ready, comfortable, write a few sentences about what comes to mind after reading about Boudicca, or about what you see in your mind’s eye regarding Boudicca’s life.
