Intermediate Practicum
Awareness

Before we begin walking our Sacred Circles, we want to bring our Awareness forward for any possible Medicine or Magick that may wish to reveal itself to us as we make our rounds. Let us examine both Internal and External Awareness, recalling that internal self-awareness which is how we see ourselves and external self-awareness of how others view us.  We will also look at our worldview.

It is known that at the subconscious level we are all Aware of everything, in every dimension, past, present and future in varying degrees. This is true regardless of our Acceptance or Acknowledgement of what that may be. Why? To the unevolved Spirit, they are bombarded constantly with far more information than can possibly be processed at the level of the Conscious mind that we are currently in. Some feel this is why we are growing so much closer to artificial intelligence; the AI has timeless memory capacity. This is something that some of us desperately strive for as Practitioners -- who work on regular Soul Retrieval. (This is also why we have to keep journals!)

Our mind filters this information that is received through our personal viewpoints, lenses, or worldview and intentions, plus what we think, believe and focus --on a daily basis.

We are rarely aware of anything that does not fit one or more of these categories. What we focus on mattersMindset matters.  In Matter itself, we will often find during our multi-dimensional travels that there are unexplored emotions.  Having that strong mindset empowers us to feel these as they appear, as thought clouds passing if the emotional value does not benefit us in some way.  This strong mindset is most beneficial when we Journey, whether that be in the Physical around the Wheel, in the Astral, Lucid Dreaming or Soul Work.

EMOTIONAL ENERGY PERCEIVED AS DEMONS
Some believe that if we are not anchored in our Self and have a rock in our belief in personal Spirit, we can manifest energy into a way for our brain of Matter to perceive and deal with it.  For the unevolved soul, habitual worry about life, living in fear of an action or inaction, or failure to maintain Sovereignty in one’s life has every potential ability to cause on the feel unfounded “fear”, or anxiety, and Experiencing something that many perceive as a demon.  (Energy egregores)

Recall the definition for “anxiety”.  Anxiety is a feeling of fear, dread, and uneasiness of an unknown origin. Stated another way, “fear of the unknown”.  This emotion that is unrecognized or unacknowledged by the Conscious Self might cause us to sweat, feel restless and tense, manifest a rapid heartbeat, and even develop the inability to focus or think clearly.  People can manifest many ways related to “anxiety”. Physical. Emotional. Mental.

Remember also that these feelings are often a normal reaction to stressors in everyday life.  For example, a Practitioner might feel anxious when faced with a difficult spell or incantation, before taking a test on a particular subject, or before making an important decision that may effect/affect the rest of their family or life.

Shoulda, Woulda, Coulda … “don’t ‘should’ all over yourself.

Don’t doubt, DO.
Most times, this is simply our fear talking, which can sometimes become personified.  Some feel that dogma may have had a hand in this circumstance.  There are shared memories of being told, “you shouldn’t feel that way” in regards to many instances of life.  Unconsciously, that Sleepwalker of Life who made that statement was hindering the toher person from their personal Experiences.  Someone that trusts them, relied on them, or who has a caregiver role started the path by stating how the other person “should” feel.  Pain. Experience. Memory.  The three travel together.  Many were taught that we are not supposed to Experience, or feel, what they have, regardless of anyone’s feelings.  That simply is not true.  If we as individuals have the where-with-all to hear what is being stated and avoid an unpleasant Experience, there is a reason for that.  If we failed to hear, and hind sight is always 20/20 as we have learned, there is a reason for that too.   

Telling someone how they should feel is not something Three Circles Medicine & Magick™ supports.

To many of our Elders, this is a projection of one’s unhealthy or unhealed Ego and does not serve to evolve the one being projected on spiritually. Many were raised not knowing how to fully Experience Life and it shows.

Fear Mongering

Another aspect that dogma had a hand in creating were the symbols of “worry”.  Rather than pass the oral Knowledge of what a Plant or Animal symbolically means when communicating with one’s Spirit, we suppressed it in Matter.  This was the way that the conquerors would gain control, by fear-mongering, eradication and suppression.  This act was effective as Nature Based Religions have been made “evil” for a very long time.

Things that were “not pleasant” were said to be caused by “demons”.  Something symbolic from some of the fallout of our worries now is called an “omen” or a “bad sign”.  Long ago, they were not all bad.   They were our Spirits communicating with us about our current Experience of Matter

Looking for Synchronicities

As we begin our walks around our Medicine Wheels, Animal and Plant Allies will begin to offer teaching and wisdom sharing to us. This may have already started occurring during the First Degree Walk with Wahya Circle.  Those Spirits that revealed themselves become a part of our Journeys synchronicities.  What are those? Those are occurrences that we  interpret two separate —and seemingly unrelated— Experiences as being meaningfully intertwined.

Will it be an “easy” Journey? Well, a huge factor in that is YOU.

Projected Thoughts

It is often what we project that becomes what we manifest and then Experience in our realities.
READ THAT AGAIN.

On a grander scale, if enough humans treat something in a particular way, that thing becomes Shadow for a culture or a people. Many feel this is what has been done to all of us the world over.

We are here now to heal. Cultural Shadow is a ways off to heal, but we can start WITH OUR SELF on this Journey.

STOP. FEAR.

How do we do that?

Knowledge is power.

If we fear something, the fear often quells when we explore and learn about whatever we fear. Learn to expose the WHOLE TRUTH of one’s Awareness. Keep in mind Acknowledgement IS NOT Awareness. It is only the first step.

Knowing it is a vicious dog is acknowledgement. Knowing why it is vicious and how to protect Self and those around us WHILE NOT HURTING THE DOG is Awareness.

Acknowledgement brings situational circumstances into Awareness.

Acknowledgement gives way to Awareness. When researching or learning about something or someone, we gain information about said person or thing. Whatever knowledge we do obtain, brings us into its Awareness. That is power.

”That dog never growls at Natalie.”

”Why not?”

”She does not look it in the eye when she approaches, lowers HER HEAD, closes her hand PALM DOWN, kneels near the dog and offers it for the dog to sniff without looking. She gives complete trust.”


“Why is she able to do that?”

“She took the time to learn the dog was abused for the first part of its life, It now has a form or PTSD.”

Have healthy physical, emotional and mental respects for things that cause pain and discomfort in any way.  Know and understand what will REALLY hurt us. Stop using harsh words that empower the negative around us, not only when talking to Self, but to others.

With all of that said, if your Experience has led you to trust in the goodness of Life in our current dimension, your Experiences in multi-dimensional levels will be positive ones as well. Be Aware of your reality.  Take control of it.

A last word, before you move on… with dimensionality, if you find yourself having a marvelous day and you suddenly have a feeling of dis-ease, or anxiety come over you… check your immediate surroundings and loved ones, but also take a moment for you.

If you have checked in on everyone, Self included, imagine yourself, some Space, some Time, some Dimension, having a moment of need. No matter what that need may be, you stop,
focus on SELF, and tell you that “you can do it”, or “you can survive this” or “this will pass”…  something along those lines.  I feel in that VERY MOMENT, because we do not communicate with our whole Beings, Spirit and Matter, anymore.  I believe we can still ear others spiritually, including Self.  Offer strength, support, love, healing, WHATEVER YOU ARE CALLED TO DO (ACTION) AT THAT TIME.

To drive that thought, imagine a moment when you needed strength.  No imagine if you suddenly heard a voice in your head from another Time or Space saying, “we got this!”  “I am with you!” “I love you!” Would it have mattered?  To most it would.

You will see changes begin to happen in your manifestation of Matter here in a very short amount of time with that Practice. For me personally, I do not feel that I would have survived all that I have in Life without it.

Intermediate Practicum
Bonding with Element Earth

Before we begin pulling in the Magick and Medicine of yur Sacred Circle, we are going to connect with the land upon which we will place our Medicine Wheel, Hoop or Circle. Inside or out. Mental or physical space. We are going to bond with the energy of Element Earth, as this is an Earth Tool.

Element Earth helps teach us the Sacred Circle or Medicine Wheel in the best way for most.  It is both Grounding and Healing, Protecting and Banishing.  (Lesser Banishing Ritual Pentagram is of Earth. Further back, the Indigenous have always relied on the Protection and Banishing power of Earth. Today, we ALL Focus energy on our planet, good – bad - indiffernt.  It is very charged.  This is also why we do “Earth Magick”, “Global Magick”, etc.)

EXERCISE DETAILS
You are asked to do this a total of FOUR CYCLES, each with varying time. This will aid you in CLEANING, CLEARING, AND GROUNDING your Experience of the physical world AND connecting Self with Earth.  Once connected, Earth Energy begins manifesting differently for each person after this exercise.  All of the benefits of Element Earth can open to you for this part of your Journey.

EARTH CONNECTIONS
To bond with the Earth MORE securely, you are asked to find a private place outside, if possible, or you can do this exercise inside if you cannot. Allow yourself about forty-five minutes or so for this exercise to be completed. Each of the timed increments are aligned with numbers representative of Earth in many cultures and on many Paths.  (Numerology, Jewish Mysticism, to name a couple.) You will need something to cover your head to symbolically “quieten” your Spirit connection so you may hear Element Earth clearer.

HEAD COVERING
Covering the head is also done as a matter of respecting the energy, as well as increasing your Focus on the task at hand. It provides a sense of “personal containment” symbolically, so it does not “ooze out”.  (It takes quite some time to control this leakage of energy.) This can be done with a bandana, cloth, pillow case, scarf, shawl, towel, or even an afghan, all in Earth tones, design, etc.

Earth Bonding Ritual

GROUND – HEAL – PROTECT – BANISH

With Element Earth

Position yourself comfortably face down on the Earth, on a towel or blanket is fine.  Or, sit on the floor of your Sacred Space.

Breathe how you feel most comfortable. Belly breathe, Box Breath, Breath Count, or per your method.  Breathe controlled and easy. Be conscious of your breath. BE AWARE of your breathing.  Inhalation and exhalation. Observe the pauses you place between each breath.

If you are lying on the floor, be Conscious of the Earth as you do this.  No matter how far the Earth is from your body or how distant it seems to be, below your subflooring the Earth still is, so Earth is not far. You still connect to the actual Earth. (When meditating with this exercise, some Practitioners envision a clear and direct path to Earth for their Communing.) You may also have things of Earth around you if you are choosing to do this bonding inside a building, dwelling, shelter. Plants, dirt, things of Earth, etcetera are ideal.

Be Aware of your Sacred Breath of Life, and Element Earth through the physical Earth beneath or around you.

First 8 Minutes

Once down, stay there for at least 8 minutes, which you will estimate and tell your Higher Self, “I want to lie here for 8 minutes”.  Breathe. Think everything Earth.

“Hey AI name, set a timer for eight minutes.” Is too distracting of your Focus and Intent.

Alarms are sometimes spiritually jarring in situations too. We need GOOD, STRONG, CONNECTION to Earth for this Medicine and Magick to be most beneficial. TRUST HIGHER SELF. To Self… “I will rise in…”

For these 8 minutes, think Earth. Think about how Earth affects you personally. What energies you consume from it. Show gratitude for that Abundance. (Food, Shelter, Clothing, Warmth) Focus on these qualities of Earth for 8 minutes.


Sit up for two minutes.



Grounding - 2 Minutes

At the end of the eight minutes time, sit up to cover your face and head with the item you chose.

Remain still and covered for 2 minutes Focusing on the property of Element Earth GROUNDING. Think about walking your favorite trail, a beach, or mountains.  Remember the Lesson on Earthing?

Feel yourself walking in that place. Your Reality Map is valuable here. Psychically connect this exercise’s energy with all that you have in the place you hold in your Mind’s Eye.  See your altar of Matter in your Mind’s Eye without opening your eyes. See Earth Plants, Animals, Stones, and other things around your Psychic Altar as you shift your Consciousness there. 

Remember, YOU ARE A WHOLE BEING.
SPIRIT AND MATTER.

This is why we have altars in both places that are Divinely connected.  After two minutes, uncover your head and place the cloth beside you. 
ONE CYCLE COMPLETE.

Lay face down again. Repeat the process with the adjusted time. 

Next 5 Minutes

After those two minutes sitting, covering, and being still -- uncover and return to lay face down for 5 minutes this time. “I want to lay here for 5 minutes.” Focus on how Earth affects/effects others. Think about those close to you and their basic needs of Earth. Again, emote gratitude for what those outside of you are provided.

Healing - 2 Minutes

Rise and cover your face and head again, thinking of Element Earth and what that means to you for another 2 minutes. 

This time we are Focused on what is needed to heal Self FIRST and then what can heal Others. After thinking for a moment on Self and what you need to heal, move onto the thought of Others and what they appear to need to heal. 

Be mindful to NOT project onto others as you think about them. You can tell you are doing this if you begin to feel your emotions well up.  Calm. Recenter. Heal. There is unhealed trauma here if you are unable to calm and recenter your Thought.  Many times this Healing simply flows to your Mind’s Eye. If you are adept, these next two minutes will be spent with concepts coming forward for your personal Healing needs and/or you will be inundated with the faces of those who need Healing.

Focus on Healing.  Even, non-labored breathing. Heal.  Plant Allies. Take a deep breath in through your nose and slowly let it out audibly through your mouth. Heal.  Cosmic Energy. Heal. Pain. Take another deep breath in through your nose, place the tip of your tongue to the roof, or soft palate of your mouth and exhale. Heal. Dementia. Heal. Violence. Take one last deep breath here.  Exhale as you called. Heal.  (This is NOT where thoughts of what causes any of this is allowed. ONLY HEALING THOUGHTS. *READ ON)

You already know what is on this healing Path for you. Are you ready? Heal. Take some final cleansing breathes to activate any healing that comes to you during this two minutes. Prepare to uncover and lay back down.  
TWO CYCLES COMPLETE

Next 2 Minutes

Soften your gaze or close your eyes as you lie there.  Think Earth. Think about your Sacred Circle. Take note of anything that comes to your Mind’s Eye. “I (five senses)…” Write it down afterwards.

While lying face down this time, think of fortified Earth.  Think of how the mountains can protect those who live there.  Now, think about the Earth's atmosphere and magnetic shield, or ozone, that protects us from a lot of cosmic radiation. Know that without the protection of the stratospheric ozone layer, ALL Plant and Animal life would be seriously harmed.

Earth's magnetic shield protects us from the cosmic radiation and is strongest at the equator and weakest near the poles.  Do you know where you are relative to that in your space? The magnetic shield diverts most of the radiation around the earth. Think about how much, or how little you are protected in your existence.

Rise again.

Protection - 2 Minutes

Rise and cover your face and head again, continuing to think of Element Earth and what that means to you for another 2 minutes while covered. Think more on your Protection in other ways.  Think of the protection of others. What do you see your Self of Other being Protected from? Have you shown Earth gratitude for this action? In stillness do this, both thanking for what Protection you have received and that which will come.

Do NOT think of any of these things as “greater” than you but a refined version with a sole focus. Earth is best at Earth things.
THREE CYCLES COMPLETE

Last 2 Minutes

Removing the cover and lying down one more time, think Earth. Think about your Sacred Circle. Take note of anything that comes to your Mind’s Eye. “I…” just as before. Breathe and Be for two minutes.

Banish - 2 Minutes

Rise and cover your face and head again, continuing to think of Element Earth and what that means to you for another 2 minutes while covered. Think of Grounding, Healing, Protection, and Banishment. For each of the previous thoughts you have had, allow Earth to Banish the source of dis-ease to improve Healing.  Allow Earth to secure the insecure to better Ground. Graciously ask Earth to Protect you as you walk your Circle or Wheel. This is the culmination of Earth Bonding.
FOUR CYCLES COMPLETE

For the rest of the day you choose to complete this exercise, be mindful of what you Experience. Write it down.

If this exercise is done before sleeping, be mindful of your dreams. Write them down.

Earth is with you now for your Journey in a much stronger way.  Allow a couple of days to pass before attempting the next Lesson’s exercise of meeting The Four Winds for this Magick and Medicine.

(Feel free to repeat this Ritual in the future. For added strength, perform it corresponding with a Moon Phase and Earth sign.)
